We were very rudely received upon our arrival. One member of our party was wearing jeans, not knowing there was a dresscode (unusual for the North End.) The maitre d' looked him up and down and said, `We have a no jeans policy.` I apologized and said we were unaware of the policy. He told us we should have been told when the reservation was made and I responded that we did not in fact make the reservation. He shrugged and sent us downstairs. When the rest of our party arrived, the friend who made the reservation approached the maitre d'. Only then were we offered the option to borrow a pair of pants. We ultimately decided to leave and go to one of the dozens of other good restaurants in the North End and were told that the credit card left with the reservation would be charged $40 per person for `cancelling.` We stayed and ate but will certainly never return. Some of the information in the restaurant description is incorrect. The only parking available is in the government center area (10 min walk.) There is no valet parking. Entrees are $25-45, not $12-20.
